lyrics

Lyrics:

I need to sleep,
I Need to keep
myself calm
until dawn.

Breathe in and out,
continue to count
heartbeats,
until a dream catches me

I’m afraid to fall into black holes once again.
Sometimes the nightmare never ends

I remember that
muslim girl
always sitting
in the last bench.

Her Name was Nusrin
it seems she never has been
smiling or laughing,
never had a single friend.

She was cast out
was insulted,
she was beaten up.
I heard she cried a lot.

I remain in silence,
but I got to be
sincere this one time
in the dead of the night.

I have always followed the majority.
Always remained silent,
just because it‘s easy.

I ask myself,
what has happend
after she left school.
Had this nightmare a happy end?

More likely it
accompanied
her whole lifetime.
A silent majority-crime.

That I am not guilty,
as the haters and racists
don’t acquit me of my responsibility.

I remain in silence,
but I got to be
sincere this one time
in the dead of the night.

I have always followed the majority.
Always remained silent,
just because it‘s easy.

I know I can‘t change the world,
but I could make this here a better place
and act in the way I want to be treated,
if I could act like it generates a common rule,
because in that great design
I am what I leave behind,
I am what I leave behind,
I am what I leave behind,
I am what I leave behind.

Sleep
and tomorrow I
try to be
a better man,
than Nusrin could see.

I remain in silence,
but I got to be
sincere this one time
in the dead of the night.

Inequality and hate
I will revolt
loud and clear.
Why can‘t I believe myself?
